  1. Guest Espresso From London this week at cafe

    08/31/09 - events

This week starting monday the 31st we are doing a guest espresso exchange with our friends at Jika Jika coffee house in London England and Origin Coffee Roasters in Cornwall England. And all this week they are pulling our Boss espresso blend in their cafe. Participate in a cross ocean exchange of coffee love.

    Guest Espresso

    JIKA ESPRESSO BLEND
    50% ETHIOPIA DRY HARRAR NATURAL
    50% SUMATRA LAKE TOBA

Jika Jika Coffee House & Canteen aim to consistently deliver the highest quality coffees we can find from all over the world. The coffees in these bags are sourced from ancient coffee mills in Sumatra and Ethiopia. The mills offer various lots of coffee and together with our coffee roasters - we select only their
finest beans and pay a price that far exceeds global Fair-Trade prices. From time to time, the coffee in these bags will change as the seasons change and new coffees come into crop These coffees are sourced directly through our roaster and are traceable back to a named estate and farmer. This particular blend is a wonderfully rich full bodied medium/dark espresso roast. Lots of chocolate and hazelnut notes with a butter/caramel-like velvet texture on the mouth and an intense creamy sweetness with low acidity.

Roasted by hand in Cornwall by ORIGIN COFFEE in London, England** http://www.origincoffee.co.uk/

  3. Blueberries in the morning

    08/20/09 - COFFEE

Do you all remember the sweet blueberries and cream which we love so much in the Ethiopian natural Sidamos? The flavors we have been so long without! well there back! Ethiopian Sidamo Amaro Gayo. Mmmmm. Nough said.

So here are the cupping notes: Aromas of blueberries and apricot. Low but pleasant and extremely sweet acidity reminiscent of ripe nectarines. Smooth viscous body with heavy cream in the finish. Great bounties of love and smoothness in your mouth.

    Lovin it. Christian Rotsko
